A lifter training in the gym

The approach

Strength training, with better questions.

The basics still work

Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, progressive overload, and recovery are still the job. Hypermobility does not change that.

The details still matter

Evaluate the exercise demand and the lifter's response. Setup, range of motion, fatigue, proprioception, stability, recovery, and progression rate can change how you use the basics.

Why this exists

Strength training with context, not caution tape.

The Hypermobile Lifter Team builds strength programming for people who want to train hard and account for the details that can matter with hypermobility.

Our approach keeps the focus on useful training decisions: exercise selection, setup, range of motion, fatigue, stability, recovery, and progression rate.

This is not physical therapy, diagnosis, pain treatment, or rehabilitation service. It is straightforward strength education for people who want to lift with more context and less nonsense.

Our coaching philosophy

The 12-week program

A gym strength block you can actually run.

The Hypermobile Lifter is structured three-day-per-week programming, not a generic PDF that asks you to become your own coach. The progression is laid out; the guidance helps you evaluate the demand of a lift and your response before choosing a different setup, range, variation, or progression rate.

01

Three gym sessions each week

A full 12-week block built around squat, hinge, push, pull, carries, and accessories—not an endless warm-up with a few lunges attached.

02

Progression written out

Sets, reps, RPE, RIR, and progression rules tell you what to do when the work gets easier, harder, or simply feels off that day.

03

Useful adjustments, not a redesign

Use the exercise demand and your response—joint position, range of motion, stability, setup, and fatigue—to make a sensible adjustment without rebuilding the whole program.

04

Recovery is part of the plan

Use the fatigue and recovery guidance to manage load, volume, tempo, and frequency across the block.
